If you are a facilitator, leader, or manager, you’ve signed up for a beautiful journey with humanity
Jeanet Wade is a Expert EOS® Implementer and the founder of Business Alchemist. Her coaching framework allows leadership teams to simplify complex problems and drive bottom-line results.
Even before she began working in earnest, she was devouring self-actualization materials. “Anything from Tony Robbins to clinical scholarship in the field,” she remembers. Wade’s career began in the ‘90s as a Communications Manager for Maritz, Inc., a St. Louis-based company. Her department was charged with catalyzing innovation. True to its purpose, her division created the world’s very first gift card. She was instrumental in creating the communications and marketing materials around the card.
When her company merged with American Express, she became Director of Web Business Development and Marketing. It was her first brush with leading teams and it struck a chord. She loved helping the team make effective contributions, challenging them when needed, and breeding confidence to innovate. In 2000, she left American Express Incentive Services (InteliSpend) to become head of strategy for the subsidiary of a large broadband startup. Her experience there was a lesson in explosive growth and teams without clear purpose. This would become a formative moment in her career.
“I didn’t realize it at the time,” Wade recalls, “but unlike the role I had just left, this was an environment where my human needs weren’t met and where the team was constantly in self-preservation mode, an instinct that leads to big egos and difficult social dynamics.”
Choosing to create a better path forward, Wade founded her own company, Jalapeno Marketing and Consulting. Marketing fit Jeanet like a glove. The lessons she learned about human behavior pivoted neatly into questions about meeting a human need through a product or service campaign. She found success in unique campaigns that subverted expectations about the function of marketing.
In 2013, Jeanet made another pivot. This time, she began helping leadership teams execute their strategic vision with healthy teams. Since then, she has held over 500 sessions, worked with over 125 companies, and transformed what leaders thought was possible. Through her proven processes, she teaches executives how to boost their top and bottom lines.
“Over the past few decades, I’ve seen leaders, managers, and facilitators succeed and I’ve seen them fail,” Wade notes. “The common denominator in both cases—people!”
Jeanet’s facilitating, teaching, and coaching style has made her a prominent EOS® Implementer and one of Top 100 People to Know to Succeed in Business by St. Louis Small Business Monthly.
